This article outlines some common errors that may occur when a consignor has not received their funds. Each error is followed by an explanation and recommended steps for resolution. 

 

R02 – Account Closed 

  • Explanation: The previously active account has been closed.
  • Resolution: Request the consignor to reconnect their account to receive ACH payout. If unresolved, void the payout and issue the consignor’s funds via check, cash, or store credit. 

 

R03 – No Account / Unable to Locate Account 

  • Explanation: Account number structure is valid, but doesn’t match individual identified in entry or is not an open account.
  • Resolution: Contact SimpleConsign support to determine if the account can be reused or re-entered, or if a new bank account must be entered for ACH payout. If unresolved, void the payout and issue the consignor’s funds via check, cash, or store credit. 

 

R04 – Invalid Account Number 

  • Explanation: Account number structure not valid
  • Resolution: Request the consignor to re-enter the account number. If unresolved, void the payout and issue the consignor’s funds via check, cash, or store credit. 

 

R13 – Invalid ACH Routing Number

  • Explanation: Entry contains a receiving DFI identification or gateway identification that is not a valid ACH routing number.
  • Resolution: Request the consignor to re-enter the routing number. If unresolved, void the payout and issue the consignor’s funds via check, cash, or store credit. 

 

R16 – Account Frozen/Entry Returned per OFAC Instruction 

  • Explanation: (1) Access to the account is restricted due to specific action taken by the RDFI or by legal action; or (2) OFAC has instructed the RDFI to return the entry.
  • Resolution: Contact SimpleConsign support for further guidance. If unresolved, void the payout and issue the consignor’s funds via check, cash, or store credit.
