Purpose

This set of reports helps you analyze transaction-level data across several key metrics, such as tax exemption status, payment method usage, and detailed breakdowns of each sale. These reports are valuable for audits, sales trend analysis, and accounting reconciliation.

Non-Taxable Sales Report

Description:
This report identifies transactions that included non-taxed items, making it essential for verifying tax collection accuracy. It's a reliable tool for audit preparation, identifying tax-exempt sales, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

Fields to Include:

Field Name Description
Invoice# Unique identifier for each transaction.
Total Total value of the invoice.
Tax Amount of tax applied.
Non-Taxable Total Value of items that were not taxed.
Sold Date Date of the transaction.

Filters:

Filter Use Case
Non-Taxable Total is greater than 0 Identify invoices with non-taxable items.
Sold Date is [MM/DD/YYYY] Focus on a specific day's transactions.

 

 

Gift Card Transactions Report

Description:
Use this report to track how frequently gift cards are being used as a payment method. It’s helpful for analyzing the effectiveness of gift card promotions, forecasting liabilities, and understanding customer purchase behavior.

Fields to Include:

Field Name Description
Invoice# Transaction number.
Total Total amount of the transaction.
Gift Card Amount applied from a gift card.
Sold Date When the transaction occurred.

Filters:

Filter Use Case
Gift Card is greater than 0 View only transactions that included gift card use.
Sold Date is after [MM/DD/YYYY] Filter by starting date.
Sold Date is before [MM/DD/YYYY] Filter by ending date.

 

Itemized Sales Report

Description:
Provides a full breakdown of each transaction, including payment types, discounts, tax, and terminal used. This detailed report supports PCI audits, daily reconciliation, and in-depth sales analysis for operational and financial reviews.

Fields to Include:

Field Name Description
Sold Date Date the transaction took place.
Invoice# Unique identifier for the sale.
Sub-Total Pre-tax, pre-discount total.
Total Final transaction total.
Tax Amount of sales tax charged.
Cash Cash payment amount.
Check Check payment amount.
Store Credit Store credit used for payment.
Gift Card Gift card used.
DISC Discount applied.
AMEX, MC, VISA, DEBIT Breakdown by card type.
Terminal Register used for the transaction.
