Purpose

This report helps stores manage and review inventory item families by summarizing the total number of items and their eCommerce status. It’s ideal for organizing product categories, identifying underused families, and planning bulk updates or merchandising strategies.

Inventory Family Summary

Description:
This report gives a high-level overview of your inventory families, including how many items belong to each, how many are listed online, and when the family was created. It's useful for auditing category organization and tracking eCommerce readiness.

Inventory Family

Fields to Include:

Field Name Description
Family Name Name of the item family/category
Total Items in a Family Count of all items assigned to this family
Total eCommerce Items in a Family Count of items listed for online sale
Family Description Optional notes or description for the item family
Date Created When the family was added to the system

Filters:

Filter Use Case
Date Created is after [date] Focus on recently created item families

 

 

Tips

  • Use this report to find families with zero eCommerce items and prioritize listings.

  • Run quarterly to clean up or consolidate unused or redundant categories.

  • Filter by creation date to avoid sifting through old or legacy item families.
