Overview

Manager Overrides in SimpleConsign allow stores to define which actions require elevated user permissions. This feature gives store owners and administrators greater control over who can perform sensitive tasks across the platform. This guide outlines the available override options, how to enable them, and best practices for assigning them to user roles.

Where to Find Manager Overrides

You can find and manage these overrides in the Users & Permissions section of the Back Office:

  1. Navigate to Settings from the main menu.

  2. Select Users & Permissions.

  3. Choose a role (e.g., Cashier, Manager) or create a custom role.

  4. Scroll down to the Override Permissions area.

  5. Enable or disable overrides using the checkboxes.

  6. Click Save to apply your changes.

Best Practices

  • Store Owners/Admins: Should have full override access.

  • Managers: May need overrides related to transactions, inventory, or payouts.

  • Cashiers: Typically should have limited or no overrides.

Use Custom Roles for tailored permission configurations beyond default roles.
