macOS 27 "Golden Gate" and EDNA Printing
Apple released macOS 27 (Golden Gate) on September 14, 2026. While it includes several improvements, this update currently causes a compatibility issue with EDNA, our print service — if you've updated to macOS 27, you may find that printing no longer works as expected. Below are the steps to restore printing on your system.
Step 1
Check to see if EDNA is running, you will see it running in the top right if you haven't relocated your status / control center.
Running:
Not Running:
Step 2
Find and run EDNA from Apps in your dock, click here
Search for EDNA, click on it
Step 3
You are prompted to install Rosetta, click install
Step 4
You'll be prompted to enter your Mac Password, enter it and click Install Software
Step 5
Find and run EDNA from Apps in your dock again
Search for EDNA, click on it
Step 6
Verify EDNA is running in your status / control center.
Step 7
If you do not see your printers like in the screenshot below, power cycle (turn off for 15 seconds, turn back on) each one.
