- Printers with a ⭐ are suitable for larger label/tag sizes.
- Printers marked with an ❌ are no longer supported by the manufacturer. If you experience any issues with one of these models, our Customer Support Team will make every effort to troubleshoot. However, support is limited once all viable solutions have been exhausted. At that point, we recommend considering an upgrade to a more current model, as these legacy devices are no longer backed by the manufacturer.
- All thermal label printers must be 203 dpi and use USB connections.

Managing multiple label printers on one computer
- Please reference our multi-label printer configuration article before purchasing a second printer for one workstation.
Purchasing a new thermal label printer
- If you have a thermal label printer that’s more than 5 years old or is near that age, we highly recommend purchasing a new one to mitigate any potential end of life and software compatibility issues.
- If you're looking to purchase a new thermal label printer and are based in the United States, our hardware partner, Shop POS Portal, is a good resource.
- If you purchase a secondhand thermal label printer you run the risk of receiving a device that has had custom code loaded onto it. This is not something SimpleConsign can fix and it may cause a supported printer model to become incompatible.
No access to supported thermal label printing
- If you're in a pinch and don't have immediate access to a supported thermal label printer, you can utilize desktop printing with a standard desktop printer and labels.
