Begin the Day
Before transactions, cash payouts, and pay-ins can proceed for the day the Terminal needs to be open so payments can be tracked. For assistance logging into a terminal please visit the appropriate article. Select the Open Terminal button on the Checkout Tab.
Count the Drawer
For the system to track the cashflow of the drawer throughout the day the system needs to know the starting amount for the cash drawer.
SimpleConsign expects that whatever amount you start with at the beginning of the day is what you will start with the next day as well.
- For example, if you start with $300 cash in your terminal and have $450 at the end of the day, the system anticipates a $150 deposit.
- Inversely, if you start with $300 cash and finish with $250 the system expects you to add $50 to the drawer to get back to $300 for the next morning.
You can enter the Starting Balance or use the Bill Count feature to enter in how many of each bill you have and the system will do the calculation after clicking Count Me.
Once either option has been completed be sure to click Open Terminal to finish the process.
