Barcode Attributes

  • SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): A unique, system-generated identifier assigned to each item in SimpleConsign. SKUs facilitate precise item tracking and are essential for inventory searches and reporting.

  • UPC (Universal Product Code): A standardized barcode used globally to identify products. Entering a UPC allows for quick item lookup and is particularly useful for retail items with manufacturer-assigned codes.

Descriptive Attributes

  • Item Name: The primary name or title of the item. This should be concise yet descriptive to aid in identification and searchability.

  • Category: Defines the classification of the item (e.g., Bracelets, Hats, Handbags, etc.). Categories determine the inventory type and associated fields available for the item.

  • Condition: Indicates the item's state, such as New or Used. Accurate condition reporting is vital for customer transparency and pricing strategies.

  • Brand: Specifies the manufacturer or brand of the item. This information is useful for brand-specific reporting and customer searches.

  • Color: Describes the item's color. This attribute enhances search filters and can influence purchasing decisions.

Pricing Attributes
