Navigate to Location Settings

You can access Location settings by navigating to the Settings menu within the Back Office. To do so, click the Settings icon located in the upper right corner of the screen after logging into the Back Office.

Next, select the Location tab along the top.

About Location Settings

The Location settings enable you to customize the operational behavior of your store. Ensure that all fields are completed with the correct information, as this data will appear on your printed receipts.

  • Name - The name of your store/business.
  • Country - The country the store is located in.
  • Address - The specific address of the store.
  • City - The city the store is located in.
  • State - The state the store is located in.
  • Zip Code - The zip code the store is located in.
  • Phone Number - The preferred phone number for the store.
  • Time Zone - The zip code the store is located in.
  • Email - The preferred email address for the store.
  • Store Type - Select the specific type of store you run. This is an internal settings (it will not appear on receipts) that helps SimpleConsign tailor our software to specific store types.
    • Dealer/Vendor Mall: A shared retail space where individual vendors rent booths to sell their own merchandise independently, with the mall typically handling transactions and customer service.
    • Consignment: A retail model where the store sells items on behalf of consignors, who receive a portion of the sale proceeds only when their items sell.
    • Retail: Traditional stores that purchase merchandise from suppliers or manufacturers to sell directly to consumers at a markup.
    • Thrift: Stores that sell secondhand or donated items, often at reduced prices, with proceeds typically benefiting charitable causes.
    • Buy Outright: A model where the store purchases items directly from sellers to resell them, allowing immediate payment to the seller and full control over pricing and inventory.
    • Auction: A sales format where items are sold to the highest bidder, often in live or online bidding events, with sales finalized at the auction’s close.
    • Seasonal/Pop Up: Temporary stores that operate for a limited time, often focused around a season or special event, offering niche or time-sensitive products.
    • Wholesale: Stores that purchase items in bulk from manufacturers or distributors to resell at lower prices, often catering to business buyers or large-quantity consumers.
    • Estate Sales: On-site sales of household goods, typically conducted by professionals to sell the possessions of a home, often as part of estate liquidation.
    • Online: E-commerce stores that operate virtually, where customers purchase items through a website or app, often offering shipping or local pickup options.
  • API Key - This is the automatic API Key that's generated for your store. 

If you manage multiple locations, a separate collapsible dropdown will be provided for each location.
