Navigate to General Settings

General Settings are located within the Settings menu within the Back Office. Get there by selecting the Settings icon in the top right corner while logged into the Back Office.

Then find and select the Options Tab along the top and choose General from the list of expandable choices.

Default Inventory to Used

When checked items will be added to system as used by default. Uncheck to change the default to new. This can be overridden at the time inventory is entered.

Show Cost on Sell Items

When checked store owned inventory cost will be displayed to users at checkout.

Use Services

If your store offers non-taxable services check this box to allow that tab to be accessed on the Terminal side of the software.

Sales Tax Override on Terminal

Check this box if you want to allow your cashiers to override the sales tax at the point of sale. This can be useful for manually logging online sales or during tax-free weekends.

Tax Store Owned Inventory

If this setting is unchecked store owned inventory will not be taxed. This option was added with nonprofit stores in mind, but may apply to other situations as well.

Store Inventory Sold Below Quantity Alert

Store owned inventory can be sold past 0 quantity, but if you'd like a warning before doing so at checkout be sure to enable this setting.

Set Item Ecommerce flag on Image Add

With this setting enabled, anytime an image is added to an item, the item will be marked as e-commerce, allowing it to sync to Shopify via our integration. If you'd prefer more fine-tuned control over which items are flagged as e-commerce, turn this setting off.

Flag new store-owned items for Drop Shipping

Check this box if you want new, store owned e-commerce items to be flagged for drop shipping when the item is entered in the system.

$0 Retail At Checkout Notification

This notification is for letting you know if an item is priced at zero dollars. The options are:

1. No warning - None

2. Warning popup - Alert

3. Block the transaction from completing - Block

(screen displayed to resolve the item blocking the transaction from being completed - note all the reason with the icons. In this case it's No consignor, $0 retail is the icon with the dollar symbol)
