Why don't my online sales appear as transactions in SimpleConsign?
Online sales from Shopify sync into SimpleConsign through the Online Sales Report, not as in-store transactions. Here's how it works:
✔ Sales data, including taxes, syncs from Shopify to SimpleConsign.
✔ Consignors are automatically credited for online sales.
✔ Inventory remains synchronized.
✔ The Shopify order number appears in the item's history tab within SimpleConsign.
💡 Note: Online sales only appear in the Online Sales Report. They do not display in your SimpleConsign in-store Sales Report.
How do discounts transfer from SimpleConsign to Shopify?
Immediate Changes:
-
Manual price changes sync to Shopify within approximately 15 seconds.
Nightly Bulk Sync:
-
Date Discounts, Tag Color Discounts, and Category Discounts sync during the nightly bulk update at local midnight.
Compare at Price & MSRP:
-
To use Shopify's Compare at Price, request the "Ignore MSRP" field mapping from SimpleConsign Support.
-
By default:
-
If MSRP exceeds retail price, Shopify displays the item as "On Sale", if your theme supports this.
-
With "Ignore MSRP" unchecked, MSRP populates Shopify's Compare at Price, creating a sale appearance.
-
How do I activate inventory to connect with Shopify?
Newly connected Shopify stores do not automatically list all inventory. To publish items:
-
In SimpleConsign's Back Office, enable the option to automatically set the eCommerce flag when images are added.
-
Use the Photo App or the AI-Automated Item Entry tool to add images and item details efficiently.
-
Important: For images added via AI Item Entry to sync to Shopify, ensure the "Save Images from AI Automated Item Entry" setting is enabled.
